  1. International quiz for medical undergraduates.

  Venue: Kasturba Medical College, Karnataka

  1. ICMR Short term studentship (ICMR STS)

Recommended for: undergraduate students interested in the research aspect of the medical field. This government initiative was initially started to       get more undergraduate students involved in research. Like a real research, there is a grant of 10,000. The student is expected to write an official research paper according to set guidelines with the help of a mentor of choice.

Registration usually takes place in the month of December to January. (The last date for registration for the year 2018-19 was 11/01/2019). Following this is a online proposal submission (the student has until the end of January to submit) where the student writes a proposal on the topic of research. Lastly if approved, the report submission takes place in the month of August to October.

  1. American heart association recognized BLS certification:

The prestigious AHA certified Basic Life Support certificate is an internationally recognized certificate. Not only that, both doctors and medical students who do have the BLS certificate can pursue life support training further and take the advanced life support training as well. This certificate allows you to administer basic life support anywhere in the world.

There are a number of training classes held all year round at various centers across India.

This is an all India conference conducted by Osmania Medical College. The conference  goes on for 5-7 days and not only has various well known doctors speaking on up and coming topics but also has various competitions like case presentation, poster presentation, symposium. It helps students from all across the country to meet at a common point and discuss the similarities and differences in the medical education.

The registration usually takes place in the month of August. The registration fee to the conference is 1500. Although individual competitions will have individual pricing as well.

  1. STEP 2019

This is the 4th National Psychiatry PG conference being organized by Training Initiative for Psychiatry Postgraduates (TIPPS) at Bengaluru (March 1st and 2nd 2019) and Pune (March 15th and 16th 2019). Very few conferences dedicate themselves completely to postgraduate learning and exam orientation and this is one such genuine conference which shouldnot be missed for Psychiatry.
