Poem on organ donation
Anmol Goyal
Final year MBBS, Maulana Azad Medical College
I love my home,
Oxygen and nutrition,
Filters my waste,
Proud of my function.
I’ve heard rumors,
From my friend the eye,
Some live without me,
Sometimes, they die.
I’m being removed?!
Why? What fault of mine?
On the way all I hear is,
“He’s next in line.”
I’ve been inserted, it’s all foreign,
But I’m welcome, as one of their own,
Scope to live up to my potential,
I love my new home. “
