As the exam season is upon us, the conferences mentioned in this list are located internationally. Some of the major conferences that are organised annually in India have been enlisted in the end. However, if you’re aware of more such opportunities in India, feel free to contact us and we’ll add it to the list!

  1. East Asian Medical Students Conference

When? 27 – 31 January 2023.

Where? Kathmandu, Nepal

Asian Medical Students Association (AMSA) offers a 4-day international conference with events from scientific papers and poster presentations. For this year’s theme, ‘Mountain and Wilderness Medicine, they’ve also included a photography competition. One caveat, students who have AMSA membership are allowed to register for the conference.

  1. International Conference for Healthcare and Medical Students (ICHAMS)

When? February 9th – 11th, 2023

Where? Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid option available!)

Fees? €20 – €30

ICHAMS is Ireland’s student-led conference, founded at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) in 2010.

The conference is open to all undergraduate and graduate students around the globe in the field of healthcare. All the abstracts are published in the BMC Proceedings.

  1. ICSBA Annual Meeting

When? March 8th – 12th, 2023

Where? Riga, Latvia

Calling all the bioethics enthusiasts!

This meeting is hosted by UNESCO Chair in Bioethics Students’ Association International, also known as ICBSA. They are a global network of students with the goal of increasing interest in ethics and values involved in health care delivery.

  1. Leiden International BioMedical Student Conference (LIMSC)

When? March 15th – 19th, 2023

Where? Leiden, Netherlands

Fees? €5 – €23

Currently running its 12th edition, LMISC is the largest biennial student conference in the world. LIMSC offers the opportunity for medical, biomedical, pharmacy, clinical technology, and other life sciences students worldwide to present their research, participate in various state-of-the-art workshops, be enlightened by prominent guest speakers, and engage in networking with fellow international students and researchers.

  1. Annual International (bio)Medical Students Meeting (AIMS Meeting)

When? April 2023

Where? To be disclosed.

AIMS Meeting is the largest European Biomedical Conference organized by medical students. It is advocated by the Faculty of Medicine of the Lisbon Students’ Local Committee. It highlights the importance of medical education for all students of health sciences through a diverse approach. They currently have opened calls for Ambassadors!

  1. International Congress of Medical Sciences (ICMS)

When? May 11th – 14th, 2023

Where? Sofia, Bulgaria

Abstract Submission? February 20th, 2023

Fees? €25 – €30

Running its 21st edition, hosted by the Association of Medical Students in Sofia, Bulgaria. ICMS provides an opportunity for students from pre-clinical, internal medicine, surgery, and public health background to share their work on an international platform. More information on their website!

  1. International Student Congress Of (bio)Medical Sciences    

When? June 5th – 8th, 2023

Where? Groningen, Netherland

Abstract Submission deadline? 29th January 2023

Throughout our three-day congress, ISCOMS offers a venue for student research exchange along with lending an opportunity to the students to broaden their scientific network. Their scientific program includes research from students all over the world, presented in poster, oral or plenary form, all in front of an international and professional audience. Along with these student sessions, there offer fascinating keynote lectures and hands-on workshops.

Registration for non-presenting participants opens on 1st March 2023 on their website.
